I took my car to a local shop to install my Eibach's pro kit springs...bad news they couldn't do it because the coils were so close together that the table crank they used to compress the springs was too big to fit inbetween the coils. So I rented a spring compresser from pepboys and the problem is getting the lowering springs clamped down enough to to install the top bolt. I need some suggestions on how to install these or a shop in San Diego that would be able to do it for me....

First, please be careful if you're not sure what you are doing.

I've never heard of spring compressors (threaded rods with hooks) not being able to compress the coils enough . You should be using more than one compressor by the way to compress the spings evenly. You also do not need to (or may not even be able to) get into the tightly wound section of the spring. Others in the forum have done this using spring compressors, so it is possible.

either the shop sucks or they dont have the right tools. i did the spring install with a friend, rented a spring compressor from autozone and it work great. you do however need to compress it alot to mount the top part on so becareful.
