Question re: tire and wheel upgrade.

Finally going to upgrade my stock tires/wheels. I'm thinking about moving up to 18s with a 225/50 tire. Basically the same set up as the sport but without the staggered set up. Anyone done this and what are your thoughts. All advice and suggestions are appreciated. (why not 19s or 20s? Budget reasons, trying to keep the upgrade to under $1500) (why not a staggered set up? I like to rotate my tires and the wider, larger tires cost more to replace)

Tire sizes

I suggest you do a little research, 225/50R18 tires are fairly un-common. If you use 235/50R18 or 245/45R18 18 tires there are more choices and the overall diameter is close enough that your speedometer will not need recalibration.

I am installing the 08 non sport wheel from the G37 on a G35x. The offsets are proper for the car. Stock tire is 225/50. I may replace with 245/45. Should have pics up by Saturday. Grabbed them off ebay with <10 miles and tires for $1300.

I also picked up some non-sport G37 wheels off ebay. I'm going to wear out my OEM tires before mounting new tires. I plan to get Falken Ze-912 all-season high performance radials in 245/45R18 all around. I don't plan to drive in the snow, but it does get cold and occasionally snow here. Its stupid to have a car you can't drive because its too cold, or might snow.

I should have these on Friday and maybe pics for Friday or Monday. I think these wheels will look extremely good.

Appreciate the feedback and advice. I looked on ebay and found a brand new set of the 18s from an 08 G37. I'm currently the high bidder so wish me luck.
