I have been having brake problems with my car since day 1 and taken it do the dealer everytime.. now they claim I need new pads..
I do not want the OEM pads again so I am looking for suggestions for some good upgraded brake pads that are not too pricey.. any suggestions?

How many miles do you have on your G? I was surprised at 17k miles to still have about half of the pads left, especially since I drive pretty hard. The stock pads seem to work pretty well, are you sure it's a pad problem? What specifically are the brake problems you've had?
I have 24k miles on the car. They resurfaced the rotors at 17k but put the same pads back on
which has 50% at the time. They said they have 30% left now. I have had this vibration problems in the steering wheel when I brake around 40mph and they tightened the calipers once, and then did the resurfacing the 2nd time. That problem never truly went away.
Now however when I brake I get this really loud grinding noises.

In the first generation G35, the maximum allowable rotor runout is 0.0014" for the front. Many cars allow up to 0.003." In other words, the G35's front rotors are extremely sensitive to runout. Therefore, if you install new rotors or have the rotors resurfaced using a bench lathe, it is very important to check the runout after installing the rotor.
You can check the runout using a dial indicator. If the runout exceeds specifications, you need to rotate the rotor's mounting position one hole at a time to see if you can minimize the runout. If that fails, then you'll either have to use runout correction shims or have the new rotors resurfaced using an on-the-vehicle lathe.
When you mean upgraded brake pads, what are you looking for specifically? Lower dust? Longer life? Better performance? Usually you will have to give up one thing for the other.
Sorry to borrow the thread. 
I have the pulsating issue going on as well. I have just over 6K on the car. Im under warranty, would that be something that is covered, my rotors DEFINATELY should not be warped after 6K. The car has never been on a track, and only a handful or two of hard stops in its lifetime.
Anyone with $0.02 to add to my situation?

i have the pulsation at 7800mi also. when the rotors heat mark (blue) the metal changes and no matter how many times you cut them it comes back. the more you cut the less metal to dissipate heat, the more prone to warping. the only way to go with cutting rotors is an on the car lathe. they automatically adjust to the hub. then you are guaranteed minimal runout. im highly dissapointed with the rotors on this car.

I had this problem on my previous car, a BMW 5-series. There was heavy vibration through the steering wheel when decelerating from highway speed. It ended up being a warped rotor as well, so you guys will probably need at least 1 new rotor
