So with that stupid train of thought, your "X" with non-Bridgestone tires will post better lap times then an "S"?... My god are some people dumb.

I never said it would ru faster then an S. I just said Top Gear found that brigestones posted slower lap times. And who would choose brigestones when you have brands like Michelin and Perrelli. I would like perelli's but a lot of money.

Bridgestone RE-01R - that's why

GRM did a comparison of the RE-01R with the barely street legal Falken Azenis RT-615 and the RE-01R turned better lap times which to me is astounding since the RE-01R is good on the road too based upon the tire rack reviews.

Michelin sure has a nice advertising budget though.

My only personal experience is with the Kumho ASXs. I had for 15K on my 2006 A4 Quattro - and currently drive an '08 G35xS. The ASXs are very quiet for a performance tire (I was running 235/40R18s - so quiet is impressive with that profile tire). Wear was decent and I would say they had some sidewall roll but overall a very impressive tire (my friend who has a '07 G35x will be going the ASX route shortly). A lot of tires get noisier as they wear, the ASXs didn't get louder BUT light snow traction started to disappear at about 10K miles. Hope this helps.

So if I did a test and showed that Avon tires were faster then Pirelli's then Pirelli tires would then be garbage? Your logic is just plain dumb.

I don't work for Bridgestone but I like their Tires

I've been very happy with the Bridgestone RE050A OEM tires. I've had four track days on them and they are a very good grippy tire wet or dry. The only reason I'm considering getting the RE760 is because I want something that will last a little more than 15K miles. It's been my experience that Bridgestones are top tier tires. If I didn't care about tread wear I'd would get the RE01R they are the ultimate track/street tire.

A friend of mine is running the RE01R on his WRX/STI and he has tons of grip, I don't think he would buy anything else at this point.

Another friend of mine is running the Yokohama S drive on his Civic Si and he is very unhappy with the grip he is getting. I told him I was considering the S drives and warned me pass on em.

Good luck on your tire search dude, write a review on Yokohama's. I'm curious how they work out for ya.

I am getting sick of this. Read the first post that I started this thread with. I made my three choices, and asked not to be sold on anything else. and now this stupid argument has taken place. First off, anyone who thinks brigstones are better then perreli's is clearly stupid. I don't know if you guys with sport models are defending you stock tires or what. I buying Yokahama's end this stupid discussion. Thanks to the frist few guys that actually gave me advise.

Furthermore, you are seem to be in crazy love, with a the tire company that had the largest recall in history. Brigestone firestone same company.

To many poeple mistake their opinions for the way things should be too much on this site. It is hard to find desent poelple out there.

Like you guys are trying to show who's the biggest man.

GET BENT.

And a lot of guys on this site never changed oil, breaks, or had dirt under their nails. MOST GUYS NOT ALL. Tired of people that just read things and think they now it all.

We might claim to KNOW it all, but at least we KNOW how to spell and communicate more effectively than you (that was one of the ridiculous amount of errors). That's worth a lot in my book, which depending on how you look at it, is actually a compliment for you.

We're not sack-riding any company or tire brand. You said based on ONE test that you wouldn't go with Bridgestone. Clearly there are different tire selections from each maker (street, winter, blah blah, etc.), so because in one test, one specific tire didn't fare well, you now discount the entire line. We don't care that it's Bridgestone, you're failing to see that. We're calling you a douche-face (yes, we're collectively calling you that) because your logic makes as much sense as your ability to spell.

I tried to be helpful at first, but I realized I was dealing and trying to aide someone who is a bit retarded (that's giving you too much credit).

Good luck with your tire search though, maybe try some swampers.

Does that also include watching a TV show, like... let's say TOP GEAR?

Excuse me for having an opinion on tires, I can only speak from first hand experience. I'll have to see if I can catch some re-runs of TOP GEAR so that I can become more educated on the finer points of tire selection.

Seriously, let us know how the tires you select work out for you.

Why would you ask for our help if your already set on what you want. There are better tires than the mere 3 options given. Instead you should tell us how much money you want to spend what size rims do you have then when there is a certain amount of input you make a choice. You have to stop being so ignorant and try to listen. Yokohama tires are not that good when it comes to cornering they loose grip very easily. The General tire is a decent tire that has good amount of tread wear and decent grip. I wouldn't even choose the kumho tire. If you want a good performing tire with both grip and tread wear you should look at the Hankook Ventus V12. And Bridgestone Potenza tires are really good grippy tires in dry and wet weather, and the only thing they lack is the tread wear. Which is not the issue with the RE070. With all that said keep your B!tch a$$ness to your self.

Have a look at the date of the OP. Somehow I doubt he's listening. lol
Last time he posted was 12/08
BTW - He had a right to ask for opinions specifically related to his 3 favs. Whats wrong with that?
