255/40/19 Fronts - 285/35/19 Rears

Think there'd be a problem with 255/40/19 tires on the front and 285's on the back of the 07+ sedan? Got some Tanabe springs (1.0F / 1.3R), but still unsure if I'm going to do it.

Not necessarily looking to get the widest thing possible but the diameters I think would look better on an stock height vehicle.

or maybe a 245/45/19. Stock the car has roughly 1" difference in dia. from front to rear and this with a 285/35 would be a tad less than an inch difference. A 275/35 with the 245/45 is a tad more than in inch.

nice rims look like m45 19s almost. those 245/45's look good....but i think 245/40s would look perfect.

Width
Sidewall height
Overall height
Circumference

225/50-18
8.86" (225.00mm)
4.43" (112.50mm)
26.86" (682.20mm)
84.38" (2143.19mm)

245/40-19
9.65" (245.00mm)
3.86" (98.00mm)
26.72" (678.60mm)
83.93" (2131.88mm)

245/45-19
9.65" (245.00mm)
4.34" (110.25mm)
27.68" (703.10mm)
86.96" (2208.85mm)

The 245/40s are smaller than stock, I don't like that esp. considering going to a 275/35 in back which is taller than stock, so you you'd be changing the front/rear balance of the car some. The 245/45s maintain the height ratio with the 275 rears and retain the width of the 245. The 45's up front should give a better ride and better handling while also maintaining a more stock f/r ratio.

well, not that anyones listening but I ordered some 245/45/19 fronts and 275/35/19 rears today. they're Kumho Ecstas. they were under 700 so I couldn't pass on them. i'll get some pics up when they're together. I'm going to weigh the stock wheel/tire combo then the new wheel/tire setup for comparison. hopefully end of this week everything will be here.

I have 245-40-19 front and 255-40-19 rear on coupe forged rays rims. The gap up front sucks, but I like the look of the rims. The back looks good. The offset of the coupe rims pushs the tires right to the edge of fender well.

Is that a typo? 245/45 and 275/35? There's a big difference between the two diameters and VDC probably won't like it very much. Also it'll look pretty bad, I'm running 245/40 and 275/35, it bugs me how the rear is a little thinner than the front. Next time I'm running a 285/35 in the rear.

I guess I screwed up. Not sure what I did originally but for some reason, I originally miscalculated the diameter of the fronts and now after reconfiguring, I should have ordered the 245/40s and not 45's.... I'm sure there's a reason everyone before me has come to this conclusion, not sure what I was thinking.

So, I either need to change the 245/45s to 245/40s or change the 275/35s to 275/40s to match diameter. I'm almost inclined to go with the 275/40s but I wonder how much it'll hurt the acceleration. It would ride better and fill the wheel wells better, as well as help the rims not get so beat up on my nasty pothole filled rural roads, but I wonder what the differences will be otherwise. The speedo would be off 2 mph at 60mph and 3mph at 80mph.
