Khumos have always disappointed me. Nice and quiet in the beginning then begin to hum after a few thousands miles. I hate em! Hope they work out for you!
In my experience, Kumhos are great because they're cheap and look good. I've always been disappointed with the tread wear. I still put them on my Nissan, but I went with Falkens on my G. Good luck with them though. I'm sure I didn't try every model Kumho.

I'll say this. I do still love my Kumhos, they ride great and handle pretty good. They have developed one thing tho. When they're cold, like in the morning or something, they'll have the slightest bit of vibration for a couple miles, like an out of balance vibration, then it'll slowly dissipate and it's smooth as glass. But, I just find that weird and can only attribute it to the tires. Not sure what I'll get next, maybe some PS2s or some Bridgestone Pole Positions.

NICE!!! I'm looking for a set of all-seaso tires, tirerack has a deal for like 208 ea on these...Might look into it, not for my M45 19's but for a set of non staggered 4 coupe 19's i'm getting powdercoated black to ride on for the next 8months or so.

I see a lot of guys saying they aren't getting the mileage out of their tires. Most of the tires being talked about are high performance or ultra-high performance. The high performance comes from a larger contact patch and a softer rubber compound. Softer rubber equals faster wear rates. If you want higher mileage go with grand touring (ecsta lx) vs. high performance.

Any updates on the Kumho LX Platinums? I was thinking of getting them for my G35 Coupe. Any feedback on tire wear or handling?Originally Posted by the1cyrus

Sorry to bump this old thread...
I have the Kumho LX Platinums and after about 30K miles on them, they have premature wear on the inner 1.5 inch of the tire, on all 4 tires.
They are currently bald on the inner 1.5 of the tire on all 4 tires, the rest of the tires have about 4/32nds left. I've read on Tire Rack reviews for this same tire on the same car (07 G35 Sedan, 18inch rim), and people have had the same problem.
Just curious, any of you guys having this same issue? I have had my suspension setup checked and it is fine. As soon as I read that someone else had this same problem, I knew it was the tire's fault.
Thanks

Sorry, I've never gotten more than 20K out of a set of summer tires for my car, and that was only because I literally drove it down to slicks (as in 0/32's) in the rear. Your getting 30K sounds like a dream to me. Originally Posted by jayzala
