I wouldn't do those sizes.

With those, the front tires will be .6" taller than the rear, and the bulge difference will be even greater than stock.

For the height, you'd be better off iwth 245/45 all around..... as long as the buldge on the front doesn't bother you.

Road noise? Tough to say, because I read from a review that the tires are a little noisy at first but "break in" after a few hundred miles.

So far, there's a little bit of noise while cruising at speed, but they're quieter than the stock tires at low speed.

I'll wait a bit before I offer my final verdict on noise. Personally, I thought the stock tires were pretty loud. In fact, 90% of what I consider to be road noise in this car seemed to be from the tires. Smooth to rough roads were night and day difference in noise volume. I blame the tires.

I've never really considered Bridgestone Potenzas to be a quiet tire anyways... They're not bad but not really quiet. It's hard to find the 'perfect' tire.

No idea why no one has ever listed this one... gives a visual difference for those who have trouble with the math... and gives you a rough estimate of how far off your speedo will be.

^ based on that looks like you could put some 275's on and have equal rolling speeds.

245/45/18 front
275/40/18 rear

someone should try this out :-D

here's one that I like......

Great topic guys...
tire replacement is a real PITA with the S

I'm considering going with 8.5" rims all around with 245/45.
One benefit should be less understeer & better turn in.

JMO, but you shouldn't select a tire because it's the only size available.
