New Tires?

Does anybody know of any tires beside the OE ones we have on the 2007 G35 sedan journey that are worth the price? My whole pasenger side rear tire blew off and now im looking at just replacing all 4. I've been looking around and theres some good reviews on some tires but also some things I've read that have bothered me.

stock: 18' 225/50 front
18' 245/45 rear Bridgestone Potenzas

kumho ecsta spts have been great for me so far. more inexpensive price, longer wear and the performance of the higher priced ones.

For the exact stock 18" staggered setup the best tires I've researched seem to be the Goodyear F1s. They're all-season and in the sizes you need.

There are at least ten threads on this in the Tech sub-forum; search for Tires in the subject. I switched to Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics, which I really like - you have to go up in size on the front though.

Moving to Tech forum.

That is not normal tire wear. Did you try getting them replaced under warranty?

All I know i know is that i was driving on the 55 and heard a weird noise as i was getting onto the carpool lane. I thought i had just run over the double line carpool bumps though. Right when I got onto the 57 though it just blew out on me and I lost control and had no brakes at all. Luckily i was able to cross four lanes of traffic and come to a stop on the shoulder. Funny thing is that both the AAA guy and the highway patrol kept looking at my car and saying how nice it was while i was waiting for the tow truck!

What exactly does the warranty cover for the tires on the car? I bought mine used and it didnt come with no booklet or manual so I wouldnt know. It was already a pain just trying to take the wheel lock off as my car didnt come with one.

These are the ones I am thinking of getting once my stock goes bald:

Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum (Grand Touring All-Season)
for 2007 Infiniti G35 Sedan Journey Package
Size: 225/55ZR17
Load Rating: XL

Blackwall
ZR Speed Rated
Orig. Price: $141.00 -> $113 per tire in cart

Estimated Availability:
In Stock

Opinions? Initial reviews are pretty good for this tire. Sorry OP - these are 17"... but they do have a staggered package which is more expensive - though price wise may be comparable (I don't run staggered so haven't really price compared).
