Best Drop for X?

Hey guys,

I cant decide on a lowering spring for my G. I do drive an "x" but would like to drop due to that horrid front gap. Tanabe gives a nice agressive stance. Iv seen some nice drops on H&Rs as well. I do not want a hugee drop and cover the wheels, just something to mostly get rid of the hugeeeee front gap.

please post pics of types of drops on the x's if you have any and advice as well

Thanks!

I'll be watching this aswell,,, allthough, out of all the pics ive seen, Eibach has about the best drop.. just over and inch in the front, and right aroung an inch in the back.. but i am not sure of the alignment issues, with camber, and toe,,, front and back....

I dropped my X w/ Eibach Springs and you will get the same look as all the pictures posted within website. You'll get ~1.4" lower in the front and ~1.3" lower in the back. I personally think it's a tight look and will give you enough clearance off the ground so you won't scrape.

I was told that the Eibach kit does not work on the X.
Apparently it works for you.
Were there issues putting on the X?
Do you expect any issues, like AWD wear?

There are a bunch of us X's on driver that have the Pro-kit, just do a search. No issues installing the springs, just get an alignment kit afterwards. As for AWD wear?

Impul is your safest, but not too low solution. I seen some pics, I wouldn't waste the extra money on them, but to each their own.

Eibach is a much less costly approach, call them the medium drop, I got em on, they work. I have about 4" clearance under the front AWD support brace, plenty for speed bumps.

H&R for an X is not recommended at all, the front drops way too much for an X, and any less than that 4" clearance is not winter-able. I wouldn't do the H&R on the X, but for the regular sedan, hell yeah!

The eibach kit for the regular sedan fits the AWD X no problem, rear camber kit is recommended but not necessary. you MIGHT burn through the inner treads a bit sooner on the rear, but some don't justify that on the cost factor of buying the kit.

hope this essay helps.

Wait two weeks before putting your rear alignment kit on and getting an alignment.
