ok, so i FINALLY got my hands on some 19" g37 sport wheels that i've been wanting for awhile. theyre going on the car around march i would imagine (whenever the weather gets warm again). anyway, the wheels already have the stock bridgestone potenza re050a tires on them, and they are pretty much brand new, only have like 50 miles on them. now, my problem is, i want to put wider tires in the back. the stock sizes are 215/45/19 in front, and 245/40/19 in the back. what im going to do is put the 245/40 in the front, and buy 275/35 for the back. now, im not sure which tires to buy. from wat i understand, the re050a pole positions are almost the same tire as the re050a, except a little better and similarly prices. is it ok to put a different tires in the front and back? should i just get rid of the stock tires altogether and get other/better tires? im not sure what to do, and i'd like some ideas from some tire experts. also, am i adding weight with the 19" wheels, or are they 'lightweight' 19" wheels therefore not adding much weight if any at all over my stock 18"s?? any insight is appreciated. thanks in advance

 

it's okay to put different tires in the rear then the front...i think you have a great idea in utilizing the current rears for the fronts and getting wider rear tires...i think that is your best option...you don't necessarily have to get the same brand tires for the rear...if you're ocd like me, then you probably will though...but i think there are better options than the re050a's...i might go good year ds-g3's next...or some ps2's...

 

Whats the general concensus with the Potenza re050a's anyway? and how does that differ from the pole position version?
