Replacement Brakes for 2007 G35 Journey Sedan
Replacement Brakes for 2007 G35 Journey Sedan
Hi Guys,
Just a qeustion, i am looking into replacing my G35 brakes (i only have 30,000kms but the rear brakes are pretty much down to 5%!!!))
1. I noticed on the vendor marketplace, they never specify G35 (2nd gen) brakes being different than the 1st gen G35. What kind of brakes do i need?
2. I was thinking about going with the Hawk/Powerslot combo, any other recommnedations?
Thanks!
ED

Any help woudl be appreciated.
I find that the VDC kicks in really early which really kills the rear brakes, especially considering we have harsh winters here in Canada.
Plus i my VDC is malfunctinong , as well, on hard acceleration, my brakelight shows up. (sounds like low fluid!))

whats a better pad...EBC or Hawk? i read it somewhere that the 1g sedan pads will fit on the 2G. correct me if i'm wrong guys. i'm on the same boat...need new rotors and pads.
Well i went ahead and ordered the front and rear POWERSLOT Rotors and Hawk HPS pads from CVR Motorsports.
My current brakes are 90% front and 5 % rear!!!... So i was like screw it, i am going to replace all of it, since my front already feels warped.

My dealer is replacing my rotors under warranty, as this is the second time they have warped in 30K... they should try torquing my lugs correctly for one... morons.
Anywho, since I'm going to be with stock rotors for just a bit longer, I'm going with some basic Bendix ceramic pads for the rear. By the time the fronts are ready, I'll most likely be eyeing the BBK on EverythingG35.
We'll see.
