Service Bulletin for Brake Squeak Noise

Not sure if it was posted before, but couldn't find it.

Infiniti released a service bulletin last week for front brake squeak noise.
(ITB09-009)

I took in my car when I first got it and they said it was fine.
I've been with the noise ever since then.
I wonder what they are gonna say when I bring in the TSB with me this time.

I have attached a pdf file, so take a look at yourself if your does the same.

same thing for me. i took my ride in and the dealer service department couldn't replicate the brake squeaking. probably because it only happens at start-up when the brakes are cold. it's very annoying and embarrassing. thanks for the post, i'd love to get this remedied.

Yeah I have the same problem over here, but mine has played up like 3 times throughout last year and just started again now, it usually goes away after I've washed the car

I have the same exact problem, but mines not a Sport model sedan. They applied "stop squeal" lubricant on the brake hardware and it still squeals especially when warm and coming to a stop from 40 m.p.h.

@isbn1975, did you ever get this resolved at the dealer? i finally called my local dealer and they said they need to re-diagnose the issue with my car because "minor squeaking is normal" for most 07-08 g sedans and that if the squeaking only happens at start-up or when it's cold that it's also normal. i'm not buying it really. the service rep i spoke with said he's going to try to get this through for me but said he didn't want to book the repair yet because if my car doesn't qualify then i'd have to pay for the repair. i'm expecting a return call tonight or tomorrow. i've experienced the problem for over a year now and i only have 15.7K miles on my car after driving it for two full years.

whtbst: 2007 G35X - 17k miles,. This just started to happen to mine too. Cold at first or second brake application, then it goes away. I mentioned to my Dealer last visit one month ago. They said it was brake dust, they 'cleaned" it and it seemed fine. It sarted again the past 2 days. If it continues, I'll bring back to the Dealer, who has been wonderful: Pepe infiniti in White Plains, NY

I have it too, but according to them G35xS don't have sport brakes, also they told me it's due to brake dust build up. Try going to an empty road get up to 60 and stand on the brakes, it should get rid of the squeal.

mine squeal in reverse when cold. no squeal when traveling forward. I'm thinking of switching out the rotors and pads though.

Mine typically does the same thing when cold and reversing out of my garage. As soon as I'm in a forward gear and driving away, no more squeal. I also noticed this same thing when test driving brand new 2008 G's, however, the 2009 G35S I test drove with the Akebono brakes didn't seem to do this.

Yup! Exactly what I was thinking... Just need to find someone with a G37S that's upgrading to aftermarket brakes, so I can get a good deal on a set!

I think you can get a set new with all the brackets etc for like 1300 or something, ask Rick, I was told to contact him for price since it's so low they couldn't post it on the forum haha, but i never got a return pm but ask him I'm sure he can get you a deal on them.
