well kind of...i am currently running on our OEM 17's for the last time ever. i have yet to install my Akebonos at which point in time the Volks go on too. currently, my G37 rims do not have tires on them (b/c i transferred my summer tires to the Volks) and then i promptly ran out of $ to get winter tires to throw on my G37's. but next winter, the above statement will be true.

i purchased a set of tpms sensors for my g37 wheels. they are brand new sensors. I assume i just have to go to the dealer to get them programmed? Should the sensors be already installed on the wheel/tire when they get programmed?

ideally, i think you should have the sensors installed on your wheels before you take your car into the dealer

Wes, are these guys pickin on you. Scott said he would install the paddles for you, tell him to hop to it

Here is my feeling about the sensors. I leave them in my winter rims since I don't like checking tire pressures when it is cold and sloppy out. I have regular chrome stems in my summer rims without sensors because I am always cleaning and polishing them and I don't mind checking pressures in the nice warm weather. It works well that way and you don't have the hassle of switching them over.

Hey Wayne! ur back ic! trip was well?

haha yes he did! If only he lived closer... I would definately make the drive for that installation :P hehe

Oh if I moved the tpms to my m45's, I wouldnt be moving it back. How do you find driving with the (_) 24/7 during the summer months? :S

I figured, since the M45 tires are lower profile, its harder to notice if the tires are deflating or not just by looking at it; unlike the 17's tires, its more noticeable I find. Also, I will be on these rims 2/3 of the year vs the 4 months during the winter months. What do u think?

What do u think?

Trip was great. Next year I'm gone for 6 weeks

I don't even notice the (!) during the summer. When I check my 18s in the summer the pressures are pretty consistent, and I keep them on about the same length of time as you will. Honestly, I don't find it a problem at all. How often have you had a problem with tire pressures. It's much easier checking pressures in the spring summer and fall than in the winter.
That's just my opinion.

Lol I'm surprised Aeson came in here and didn't say anything about the old timer comment I was hoping for another old school car story involving RoadRunners and 60's-70's Mustangs.

Hey guys - the recommended tire size for the M45's are 245/40/19

Do you guys think I should go with 255/40/19's instead?

I will be getting Falkens Fk-452's.

bringing this back from the dead cuz I have a quick question

I have some G37 wheels in the mail sans TPMS so I'll need to move them from my stock 18's. On some cars I know you can remove them through the valve stem, but I'm under the impression for our cars you have to unmount the tire to get the TPMS sensor out. Then I'll have to unmount the other wheels and install them there. Is this correct, anyone who's had this done?
