i was actually just thinking about buying a front STRUT just to finish off the engine and to compliment the k&n.

i would like to confirm fitment for the X though and make sure there are no issues with the hood liner

the strut fitment will be same on X sports etc, but they WILL rub a little onto the liner no matter what you do...

The only way to stop the rubbing is to either take off the engine cover or get a different cover i think. Or remove the liner. Although I don't know what the cons of that is. Maybe water of your hood evaporating? Or the extreme heat would mean the hood would peel faster?

That pic was taken right after finishing about 3 days work on the car... and I still wasn't done yet. I don't even have that intake or catch tank anymore...

I don't remember those branded as GTSPec
when Scott did them before they were VRT.
I had on too, on my '04.

I don't know why or how, but Scott brought this design to GT Spec after the VRT scandal and they made and sold 5. I have no clue why they stopped with 5, but I'm guessing they were just testing the market and the final decision probably has something to do with cost, difficulty of the manufacturing process, etc...

Better Strut Bars?

Any body have any other reviews on other strut bars?, and how do they compare, they say kinetix has a real good one with very strong mounts.

well since this was posted in the 2nd gen forum and there's only one FSB out there for us (GTSpec), i don't think you'll see other FSBs.
