Hey guys/gals, long time lurker here. Just recently I've saved up some $$$ to add some goodies to my car, Eibach, Rims, etc and now my car swerves left and right whenever the ground is uneven. I haven't had an alignment done yet because I want the springs to settle in for another week or so. Anyways, my previous car was lowered and had rims on it as well and it never had it problem granted I ran the same width as OEM.

So anyways, my question is:
OEM 225/17/55 ==> 245/19/35

is it because my surface area is wider so that my car is getting dragged by the uneven surface or is it because my alignment is off?

Thanks,

Nelson

Its called bump steer... my mustang did that all the time when i put the eibachs on it. i think they sell the bumpsteer kit to fix that. the alignment should help out though.

out of curiosity, how does lowering the car affect bump steer? is it possible that his front toe angle are causing bump steer? (assuming the front toe settings are improperly set)

I had that same annoying feel when I lowered mine a few weeks ago. Because it was recommended that I wait two weeks to let it settle I had to live with it. As soon as a I got it aligned I had no more complaints.
