Wheel Weight

So, does anyone know the wheel weight of the stock 19" rims on my 07 G35S Sedan?

I can't find it.

Excuse me for the typo above. 18"

hmmm, not sure, but they should be in the ~26-28lb range.

Thats because your car does not come stock with 19" rims.

I know that a set of my stock 17's with tires was about 49lbs. Not sure if that helps or not.

Are you just curious or is there a reason you need the weight?

I was looking at getting new rims, but to be honest, I'm having a hard time justifying spending 1,000 dollars right now simply for aesthetic reasons. I'm hoping I can also justify (even if only in my mind) it if there is some performance/handling/mpg gain due to lighter weight.

FWIW, if your budget is in the 1K range,
it's not likely that you will be saving any weight.

wow, you guys are picky.

don't know my budget, but if nobody knows the weight (which surprises the heck out of me), it's safe to say that nobody knows if I'll be saving any weight.

^ just in general terms.
Infiniti doesn't seem to spec that info & I don't recall anyone that has put them on a scale.

...those #s I posted near the top should be close though.

Here's a tech site with 'some' info, though not specifically what you requested.

Fair, so I should just look for sub 26 lb to be safe... I can do that.

Bumped.. But a quick searched found the answer..

I just got done weighing the wheels and I'm confused...

The front sport wheel and tire weighed 50.8 lbs. The rear sport wheel and tire weighed 50.4 lbs.

I triple checked the weights and even measured myself between each check to verify the scale was on and it didn't fluctuate even a bit. Every single time the weights were as above. I then verified the rear wheels were the wider at 8.5" and the front were the smaller at 7.5"

Tire weights as specified from tirerack are 27 for the front and 28 for the rear.

The front had 32.5 grams of balancing weight and the rear had 12.5

Therefore the front sport wheel weighs 50.8 (whole thing) - 27 (tires) - .07 (weights converted from grams to lbs) = 23.73 lbs

The rear sport wheel weighs 50.4 - 28 - .03 = 22.37 lbs

How an inch narrower front wheel can weigh 1.36 lbs more...I don't know.

They probably have different mounting pad thicknesses.
