problem with rotora bbk
okay heres the scenerio. i was going to buy a rotora 6/4pot bbk from a friend of mine. he has a 1st gen g35 coupe and i obv have an 08 g35x. from my and my other friends understandings, all i would of needed were new brackets from rotora for my car for the brakes to fit. the rears are fine just the fronts are the problem. i got off the phone with rotora, and they said that "the fronts will not fit. I believe they can make it work by swapping out a couple of parts but the rears will stop harder than the fronts. The reason being for the 08's the calipers on the fronts are a bit bigger. therefore this is highly not recommended. a solution would be to use the rear ones and by a new front BBK"
what do u guys think? i just dont get it.

It's very possible. There are many factors that affect the brake bias and performance. It is likely that the pistons are different on the older kits (1st Gen vs. 2nd Gen), and therefore it will affect the bias. Unless the brake system is the same, you will see some difference. This includes the caliper/piston sizes and master cylinder. I would guess they are different, and that is what Rotora is talking about.
Why not go with the Akebono kit? You know it will work/fit, and will likely be better than an incorrect fitting Rotora kit. It's also probably cheaper than a used kit. If you end up going with a new BBK, I would go with Stoptech over Rotora any day of the week....
