G37 Coupe Eibach Springs on Sedan? Anyone? F 1.2 R 0.8

Hey guys - Can anyone confirm if these will work for our 2nd gen Sedans?

Eibach Springs for G37 coupe # 6388.140

http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/htmlos.exe...45606800008613

Lowers the F by 1.2 and the R by 0.8

If these work, it will be perfect for those who want a modest drop. I heard some rumblings in the past about this.. but nothing was ever confirmed.

Chime in guys!!! Thanks!!!

Here's another rumbling...

IIRC, i read on here somewhere that the spring rates are also higher on this, perhaps to compensate for the heavier coupe. If it only lowers the coupe by that much, it may lower the sedan even less... i think.

hhmmmmm.... I really wonder... maybe I should give eibach a shout and ask them.

edit: I just called them and left a message for a call back about this.

soundmike 08-14-2009 12:53 PM

Good luck! I have yet to hear about them on spring rates and such.

I phoned Eibach.. left a message on Friday.. and still no call back!!

I don't understand how companies just don't return phone calls for potential customers. I would love to know the answer as well to be honest.

Wes_888 08-17-2009 11:51 PM

ya seriously... :S maybe if you have time tomorrow give em a shout? ;)

Greekboy115 08-17-2009 11:56 PM

haha, I actually should have some time as it is my day off :). I wont be in the market for the springs for a while however I am curious. I'll give them a ring at some point and let you know later on in the evening, assuming I get an answer.

Wes_888 08-18-2009 12:04 AM

wonderful! maybe you'll have better luck then I do.

spring rate would be too stiff (the 37 is a heavier car). You don't want this setup wes, it would get pretty bouncy. stick to the g35 springs.

Greekboy115 08-18-2009 12:16 AM

That makes sense John. I diddn't even think of that, would it make that big of a different though?

Greekboy115 08-18-2009 12:23 AM

Just made a quick google search it looks like it is about 3633 for the coupe vs 3520 for an 07 sedan.

Wes_888 08-18-2009 12:31 AM

Is that too much? :S

Can't get a spring rate on progressive springs. The rate changes as a function of deflection.

The rate on a linear spring stays constant.

So whats the final verdict here?

If we get a perfect mild drop but have it a bit too stiff.. is that so bad?
