Toyo Proxes 4 on OEM Sport Rims

I searched but could only find threads about these tires with aftermarket rims. they are 225/50/18 which is nice because it keeps me from having to go to the 235/50/18. found them for 184.11 a piece shipped. anyone have experience with these on thier OEM rims?

I have been running the Proxes 4 for about 4k miles. I personally love them so far the dry grip is fantastic. The are not half bad when it comes to wet traction either, I can't comment on any snow however. I haven't been running them for a long period of time but I couldn't be happier with my choice and would reccommend them to anyone. In fact very soon my girl will be shopping for a pair on her RSX as well.

I have these on my 300m. Work ok in snow considering FWD only. For the most part has not left me sitting unless the snow was deep enough for the car to be a plow. Wear has been very good for this type of tire.

I have the proxes 4 on my 20's and they are really good in Dry/hot weather when it gets cold or it rains then you will feel that the tires might give in but they dont. I say go for it

The proxes may not fill your desire for cheap grippy tires. They're not cheap by any means. If you're not too worried about snow go for a summer tire that 'll save some money. I recently just purchases the Falken 912's and they make them in OEM sizes now. Very good price for the tire and they have a 40K tread warranty.

I've had the Toyo tires for about a year now. They definitely last a lot longer than the original Bridgestones, but they definitely don't have the same dry grip as the RE050. So if you want grip, best to go somewhere else. If you want longer wear these should last at least 30k. I got 15k on them and they're barely half worn.

I have lots of wear left in my OEM tires for my 08 XS. On my 300m the Proxies have been on for at least 40 k and have probably another 10 k left with the exception of one tire which has some wear on the outside which I didn't notice before last week so I think I have something going on on that one side only.

I've had Proxes 4 before on my old car, they're wonderful tires and worked just fine even when we had the flurries down here in Houston (), they're just as good as the General Exclaim UHP's (which tend to cost less), but for all-out performance, summer tires are still your best bet.

You may want to check out the TD4L ad above. I just picked up the Proxes 4 in 245/40/18 for $114 a tire shipped. Looks like the size you want is $168 a tire shipped if you were interested in saving a couple of bucks. They ship pretty quickly.

Thanks for the replies... anyone ever use the Nitto NT555 235/50/18? looks like the same treadpattern as the Falkens and its a summer tire. Discount tires for less has them for about 130 bucks. 300 treadwear rating. only thing is its a 101 load rating. is that going to matter?

Higher load ratings usually mean your ride will be rougher (or stiffer).
