Tire Pressure Sensors: Car/Set Specific?
Tire Pressure Sensors: Car/Set Specific?
I posted the following in the main forum, so hopefully this isn't a violation of a rule. I just need to know by tomorrow Noon PST.
"I'm going to be trading my rear Sport wheels from my '08 for another set of rear Sport wheels from an '07.
I assume I don't have to do anything with the tire pressure sensors? In summary, my front wheels will have the sensors that came with my car and my "new" rear wheels will have the sensors from the other car."

You will need to go to a Infiniti or Nissan dealer and have the rear TPMS sensors "enrolled" in order for them to be recognized. I've had this done as cheap as FREE but many stealerships will charge $90 or so even thought it's less than 5 minutes work.
There's actually a way to register the tpms w/o needing to go to the dealer or using a special tool. It's in the factory service manual and I believe it's posted in a thread somewhere on g35driver. Sorry I'm too lazy to look it up for you now. I know it works for "new" tpms that don't have a registration code, but I'm not exactly sure how it works for tpms that are registered to another car.
