FX35 wheels work for winter wheel/tire combo for 08 G35?

I found these for sale locally for less than 300 bucks. I have no idea the wheel width or offset, but I would assume the wheels would still fit fine with some properly sized snow tires for the G.

What do you think? I bet these have tpms still installed too which would be another bonus.

Anyone know the width and offset? It just needs to work good enough for the few winter months we get snow. I'm sick of having the car parked on the stock RE050's while there is snow on the ground.

Lug size 12mmX1.25
Center bore 66.1

These should fit perfect...would just have to throw on some 245/45/18 tires on em.

Someone else has done it so it's 100% possible. They are significantly heavier though so I wouldn't use em for anything but a cheap way to facilitate getting around in the snow.

Definitely wouldn't have these for a spare summer set.

If you are actually going to get winter tires for these, I would go a little narrower, like 225/50/18.

That's a good point. smaller surface area. Less tire costs too :-) 139 each instead of 247 each

Alright, the owner of the FX35 wheels agreed to my offer and I should be picking them up tonight.

I'll weigh them to see how much they actually are. I know my sport wheels are around 22lbs and I've HEARD these are 36lbs, though I highly doubt that they're that heavy.

I also ordered the blizzaks in 225/50/18 (thanks for the suggestion mishmosh) and should have them before the weekend. I'll get some pictures snapped when the tires are mounted and wheels installed.

Wow, not sure why someone said they were 36 lbs but they were off a little bit.

25.6 lbs so they are only about 3 lbs heavier than stock. Not too bad really.

All 4 w/center caps and lug nuts w/key purchased for 200 bucks.

Wow. That's a great deal. Those look mint. 3lb each more is neither here nor there for a winter set. Post some pics on the car when you get a chance. Congrats!

Also, which Blizzaks did you get? I love my LM25's!

LM25's!

I read an older thread with someone saying they were still struggling with the LM25's in a 6MT, but at 139 a piece, I couldn't say no. They are a performance winter tire so not as great in snow and ice as some of their other series, but I'm pretty careful in snow and surely they will be worlds better than the RE050's.

It's too cold to get pictures outside, so here's the only one I could produce for now.

fitment is great. The offset puts it closer to flush with the fenders but not too much. I can't really notice any difference in the way it drives other than on the highway, the tires felt a little wobbly. I checked pressures and they were around 26psi so the place that mounted them didn't inflate very much. I inflated them to 32 but haven't had a chance to drive it since then.

They look pretty decent - i just don't like the covered center cap section, i prefer the lugs exposed. But overall a great choice for winter setup!
