Akebono BBK on stock 18" rims, I need info plz
Hi, i would like to get Akebono BBK on my stock 18" G35S rims, a member in the forums installed them with H&R 15mm spacers, i would like to know if i need 15mm spacers for all wheels, or only the front wheels?
2nd question is, where can i get H&R spacers? i found Ichiba, but i prefer H&R.

Hey good news my Akebono big brake kit fits my stock G35S rims with 15mm spacers just barely. You can only fit a dime between the caliper and the spoke of the wheel. They look great, will add pictures tonight. I purchased the brake pros slotted rotors and they are heavy approx 24lbs front and 18lbs rear. The calipers front approx 9lbs and the rears 5lbs. The PADS front 2.5lbs a piece I purchased the Mu Bu Force (upgrade) bought them (the whole kit) from infiniti parts Scottsdale (everything G35). The only thing is the rear wheel "dust plates" have a lip on them and the lip needs to be cut off. The new rotors are to big for them. So you have 2 choices cut the lip off or order new plates. The new plates are 200 for the pair and it will cost an additional 400-500 dollars labor, I had mine cut off. Expect to pay between 400-600 dollars to have the bbk put on. I also had stillen sway bars put on the same time. My cost was about in the middle of the figure above. It will take approx 4-6 hrs at a shop to have them do this. The whole package including installation cost me about $2700. Well worth it a new set of just front high end kit will cost about 3K.
The question is, should i get Ichiba V1 spacer (with longer studs) or the V2 which bolts to the stock studs and it got it's own studs?
Here's a link to the V1:

And a link to the V2:

The V2 looks cleaner install, i'm leaning toward it, it's easier to remove when i buy new rims, so guys i need info comparing the 20mm and 15mm, well the 20mm be over kill? i don't want my wheels to stick out of my car and look like a riced up Honda or a sand buggy.
Hey there dude, are you not thinking of changing your rims in the future?
I wouldn't be comfortable with running such little clearance between the caliper and the rim, but that's just my personal opinion, not sure how others feel.
Have you tried PM'ing Mainer to see if he's had any issues since installing his?

He didn't reply my PM's, actually it's been months since he logged in :s.
If you have to, i would suggest the 20mm just for "insurance". A dime's thickness isn't that much. Lodge any type of debris in there while driving and you'll mess something up.
Between V1 and V2, V2 is easier to install and you can remove them just as easily if you decide to go with aftermarket wheels that will no longer need the spacers.
If you plan on heavily tracking the car, i would stay away from spacers altogether.
