Picked up a set for my G37S 19" wheels since Hankook finally released the OEM size for the front tires (225/45/19). The ride is exceptionally smoother and quieter than the stock Bridgestones, BUT its obvious that the Bridgestones outperform the Hankooks in handling. The rear end of the car seems a lot more loose, almost as though the tires are softer and dont grip as tight as the Bridgestones once did. From a looks stand point, I miss having the indented walls of the bridgestones that almost acted like a rim protector. With the Hankooks the lip of the rim is fully exposed, almost appearing as though the wheels are too wide for the tire. Overall Im really pleased with the purchase (got a great deal; via pricematch by Discount Tire and 0% financing) and the look of the tread pattern is far better than the bridgestones. Now we'll have to see how they hold up in the hot summer weather and the future wet season.

put the psi up to 40, that should help

Mine are at 40psi. They still feel softer than stock (even though I went from stock 18" to 19") but better than stock psi levels.

Other than its soft sidewall like everyone's mentioned, these are decent performance tires @ a bargain price. They also have the $50 MIR when you purchase a set of 4 btw.

How many miles do you have on the hankooks so far? Remember that new tires don't perform as well as tires with ~500+ miles on them since there is still residue on them from the factory that's used so they don't stick to the mold.

Why didn't you go with a 245 in the front? You'd get more rim protection, but not enough to stop damage.

IMO rim protector rubber is more cosmetic than functional anyway.

I just rotated my tires for the second time this weekend, currently at roughly 12k on the tires. Any new tire will be loose for the first few hundred miles. I have nothing but good things to say about the V12s after all these months and miles.

Where others here are up to 40psi, i've found 36psi to be the sweet spot for the size i got -- 255/40/19s. 34psi has better traction, but is too soft and bouncy. 37/38 is tighter and has less bounce but easily breaks loose especially coming out of an apex at mid-full throttle. I'm currently running on the higher setting since i'm getting more outside tread wear from running 34 for a while.

why? I run mine at 34psi cold and when they're hot they go up to 38psi.

If you're running 40psi cold then you'd be at like 44 or more. BTW do u feel the ride handles better at 40psi?

I'm still trying to figure out which one feels better, tbh I have to change my rear tires out because the 275s are just silly on the rear , I need to try 265 or maybe even 255, oh and also I'm running the same Hankook's as well, not too sure how I feel about them I want to try something else.

what about toyo? i have them they grip very good better than Bridgestones and smooth ride. btw Bridgestones have new potenza design not sure but thats what i heard

Thus far, I've put over a 100 miles on the set since I got them on saturday. But the alignment is terrible, so I gotta go back and have them re-do it because the steering wheel even on the most even part of the highway needs to be held counterclockwise to keep the car going straight and not swerving. But when I straighten out the steering wheel the car swirves to the right. They loaded my tires at 38 PSI from what I remember and thus far I am really happy with these, and I forgot to mention that there is a $50 MIR when you buy a set of the V12's.
