Stagerred question

Guys I have read through all the threads concerning going same size all four corners or staying stagerred with the 18".

my question is whats the difference with the folks that are going a size or two bigger but are doing same size tires all around? does't the same arguement apply to them?

I am staying with the stock size rims 18" but the rims I'm looking at only comes in 18 X 8, stock front rim is 18 X 7.5 and rear is 18 x 8.5,

2 Questions

1. would the stock size tire 225/50/18 be fine on the 18X8 rim. (stock size is 18x7.5)

2. would the rear size 245/45/18 be fine on the 18X8 rim

1. Generally, yes, but double check the specs for that tire. The manufacturer will almost always post what width wheel it can safely mount on.

2. Ditto.

^ Thanks

I had a 04 Sport Sedan that came with 17", cant remember if they were staggered or not, but I put 18" on it and went 245/45 all around for 2+ yrs before I traded the car in. I never had a TPMS/VDC light related to wheel/tire combo. maybe those that had/have issues with going same all corners are isolated cases that may not even be related to the wheel size. IDK
