Tires for 2007 G35S

Hi, just joined the group, looks like a great site. My ques is does anyone have suggestions for tires for my 07 G35S. I live outside of Boston MA so snow is an issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Put snow tires on your factory rims and buy a second set of rims/tires for the other months. Life is hell with summer tires in snow, and summer on all seasons is lack luster.

Hi

I live outside of Chicago and have a 2007 G35S 5AT. Just received from Tire Rack ($1242 delivered, then $70 rebate):

18x8 Sport Edition SE-14 Bright Silver
225/50R-18 Michelin X-Ice Xi2

I'm putting them on this weekend and will see how they are. I'd been running the RE050A summer tires and using a winter beater, but got rid of the beater in favor of dedicated snow tires.

that sounds about right, rim+tires, without TPMS

Yep...

The $1242 was 4 rims with tires mounted and balanced and delivered. No TPMS.

Can shave a few bucks off by going with 17 in. wheels. The salt destroys the finish in a few years anyway. I think I paid Tire Rack around $900 for 17 in. Sport editions and goodyear gw3s but that was a few years ago. No tpms, that's what tire gauges were invented for.
