if you look around the marketplace you'll find the stop tech rotor and pad combos around $600 for all 4. I was going to do this but I just upgraded to a new BBK instead

Am i right in thinking that ceramic is the way to go? For performance and longevity?

Y not save up a lil more and pick up some Akebono's? I just installed mine this past Saturday and I am so happy with everything about them! They look great behind my wheels plus the pedal feel is so much more stable and grabby. I highly recommend if you can drop $1500 or get lucky like me to pick up an used set for cheap.

Keep your eye out for some used ones in the marketplace. That's where I found mine!

I bought Centric Premium blanks (rockauto.com) and Bendix CT-3 ceramic pads (Amazon.com). Haven't installed either yet as the OEM rotors/pads have been surprisingly resilient. Unless you are looking to upgrade to slotted rotors, this is the best bang for the $. Best part: Bendix pads come with a voucher for 1 free replacement, can send in for a new set once the previous set wears out. Nice lil' perk for a wear/tear item.

which pads did you get? did you get the premium slotted and x-drilled rotors?

Also, I've heard conflicting info on turning x-drilled or slotted rotors, is it possible? Some shops said no, other people have told me you can.

wow, rockaudo prices are about 1/2 to 1/3 of the other place. I noticed the rotors say 'AWD Front' AWD Rear, etc, when I pick G35 sport option. I am assuming all of those rotors are the wrong size?

i.e.
CENTRIC Part # 12742080R More Information About this Part SportStop Drilled and Slotted Rotor
AWD; Front Right

$112.79
Add to Cart
CENTRIC Part # 12742080L More Information About this Part SportStop Drilled and Slotted Rotor
AWD; Front Left

I'm assuming those are not correct to use on a non-awd sport g35 08 ?

I got ATE's from the Tire Rack with Hawk ceramic pads. Stopping power isn't any different but these haven't warped yet like the OEM's do so I'm happy. I'm def going Akebono next time around. I'd like the confidence of more stopping power.
