Need recommendation for OE brakes - NYC
Need recommendation for OE brakes - NYC
I tried the search on this topic, but got varying results that didn't quite answer my question.
I have a 2008 G35xS. Wife is the primary driver. Its not modified, all stock.
Looking for OE or OE-quality replacement brake pads and rotors, front and rear.
Where's a good place to buy them and what kind of pricing am I looking at?
Dealer quoted me $339 per axle for new pads and resurfacing the rotors.....uhm....I don't think so!
Thanks in advance for the info!

For OE, i would recommend InfinitiPartsUSA.com, but any online Infiniti parts store can get you the pads cheaper than your local dealership (which typically charges MSRP for them).
Is that a recommended online seller? You use them before?
I'm new to Infiniti......drove VW's for 18 years, so my knowledge of where to get what is better with the German stuff.
I need air filters too.....is there a cheap short ram kit out there or are the drop in K&N filters good enough for a stock upgrade option?
Thanks.
Yes sir. I've bought calipers, pads, various fluids and a bumper from them. InfinitiPartsUSA is the same company as G35Parts.com/EverythingG35.com/Infiniti of Scottsdale.
As for the intake question, this sounds cliche, but you may want to just search for that info. There's too much for me to type in this post.
Generally, if you just want affordable and good filtration, the OEM one or any filter from your local parts store will do. As long as you replace them frequently. If you want better sound and slight gain in upper-rpm performance, a short ram intake (SRI) is the next step up. If you want better sound and a slight gain in low-mid rpm performance, a CAI would be it. I have an Injen SRI. Again, just generalizing. Some intake brands are better than others.
