Eibach Springs w/ non Sport Journey Struts/Shocks
Eibach Springs w/ non Sport Journey Struts/Shocks
I've searched the forums and couldn't find an exact answer. I have an '08 Journey sedan non-sport and want to lower it. I've used Eibach spings on previous cars and LOVE them. But everytime that I have lowered a car with them I've replaced the struts/shocks. I'm seeing that some people do, some don't, etc. I want to hear peoples experience that have lowered their car with Eibach's and kept their stock non-sport struts. (I've read that the sport models have different struts which have diferent valve timing within the strut) Have the struts lasted? Did you install a camber kit? I planned on getting the springs, installing them and then getting an alignment. Hoping that the shop can get it close to spec without a camber kit since I'm not lowering too much with the Eibach's. I'm looking for other owners that have put on the Eibach Prokit with no other modifications such as camber kits, or replacement shocks/struts to let me know their opinions. Or your opinion. Thank you.
Ive been on em for 1.5 years now,, although my car is NOT a daily driver... LOVE the look,,, not that crazy about the ride,, IF your roads are subpar like some of ours. I did add a adjustable upper control arm for front camber, ( i can change it at will) however, i did need a camber kit for rear,, cause to for out, for toe, and camber,, I am still running around on OEM tires yet,, almost 30,000 miles, so they are wearing pretty good,,, allthough not to good in the rain,,
I am NOT worried about my stock struts,,,,
