ive gone from x to s to hotchkis. each upgrade was a definite improvement but the difference between hotchkis and s was night and day.

 

So how much did each successive stage affect the ride quality? How has the ride quality changed? Are you on otherwise stock suspension?

 

I'm curious on the ride quality assessment too. Day to day driving, bumps, potholes, etc..? Night and day in terms of?

So you would recommend these for a daily driver who likes to have a little fun but doesn't want to sacrifice ride quality.

 

I've been using my 07 G35X as a daily driver for almost a month now and the ride is already pretty harsh (in my opinion of course). I can't imagine making it anymore stiff!

I might consider if the handling is much improved...Anyone have a place they recommend to buy the S bar or the Hotchkis?

 

I have my old sport bars.. I don't know if they are worth the cost of shipping, I am in Austin, TX

 

I just got the 370z rear sway bars installed on my g35x. It really is an understatement to say that the car feels a lot more planted with less body roll. Feels tighter in the corners. Just feels tighter overall. While the ride may bit harsher, it is only a SLIGHT change. The planted feeling far outweighs whatever small harsh ride increase.

My main issue initially with the g35x was the body roll. Felt like a boat to me in the corners. Now it doesnt. It's great. If this is your issue, dont hesitate to do this upgrade.

 

Do you have the Nissan part numbers for the 370Z bar and bushings you used?

 

I'm in for the part #'s too. I like the idea of using Nissan parts as well.

 

Dont know the exact part numbers but i purchased the rear sway bar used from the 370z forums and bought the bushings on the site below:

the Rear sway bar is #13
the bushings is #14

keep in mind you can also use the G35s rear sway bar as well.
I have a 2008 g35x.

 

wonder what the difference is between the 370z and S rear sways. I would imagine they would be similiar in terms of handling improvement. Cost has to be pretty good too...

 

It sucks that we have some contradictory info on here. Rvnaderf says the front bar makes a huge difference while another says it is useless replacing it. I guess I will believe Rvanderf because he installed the front first and got a noticeable difference.

 

The reason why the rear sway bar makes a huge difference for the AWD G35, is because the stock x rear sway bar is toothpick thin compared to the S or 370z bars. The front for the X is already relatively robust.

 

I think I remember reading that the X front sway is a little larger than the RWD front bar. That's why some people have decided to only replace the rear bar on the X.
