HELP: SPC arms contacting fender, Lets see your solutions?

Hey Guys

I recently installed the newest version SPC front camber arms and am having issues with them contacting the top of the fender even after installing both provided jounce spacers. Im sitting at a little over 25" and didn't have this issue with the OEM arms. I needed the extra camber so I bought these, they fixed my camber issue but created another problem...Don't know what to do? I just got off the phone with the guys at SPC. They claim to know that this is a very common issue with our cars however have no solution to this problem other then to cut or hammer out upper fender...

Im sure others have been in this situation, what have you done other then raising the car? Have you cut a slot for your arms to come through the engine bay? If so, do you have pics?

Thank you

There is no ready solution. Your car just sits too low for these arms. The more camber correction needed, the more the arms will contact the wheel well up top.

Not sure how the arms could contact the fenders at all. My SPC front arms don't even come close to contacting my fenders even with my shocks fully bottomed out. I would make sure you don't have the arms installed upside-down.

Check the wheel wells. You will see impact marks.

I have the previous version (not the first, but not the newest version) and never hit the wheel well, and I was pretty low on springs before switching to coils. Was at 25.7" (now at 26.2")
I heard version 2 had more clearance than the newest one (but not as strong )
Must make sure the SPC engraving is facing out on that brass collar too.

Good call on the location of the SPC mark. If those are installed reversed then that might cause your issue.

Also, I would make sure that you are running your factory bump stop spacers (yellowish foam pieces) that came on your original shocks. When I swapped to my coil-overs I had to take these off my factory shocks and install them on the coil-overs. You may be getting some over travel on your shocks and these will limit the travel a little and will keep your shocks from bottoming out.
