First attempt my coats were too thick, 2nd attempt i didnt get the left side of the G enough so now only the x is blacked out.

those who did it already did you have to you a box cutter to trim out the emblems before pulling the excess off?

No, if you spray it with enough thin coats to make it thick enough it will peal around the logo.

The only thing I can see a box cutter doing is slicing through your paint and causing rust

oh ok thanks!

Is there alot of mist using plasti-dip? I know using regular spray can there is, but it seems like plasti-dip is a different chemical and was thinking it would be more concentrated so there wouldn't be too much mist flowing around.

You got some big cahoonas for spraying that on your paint, I mean it worked out perfectly, but I'd be way too chicken to be the first to spray that on my paint.

should the trunk be really soft and smooth before spraying plati-dip?

Tried this tonite and I will be redoing it. I painted the "infiniti," "G35x," and the chrome lip on the trunk. For whatever reason, the Plastidip looks like it has fine hairs or build up on top of the letters, and the coating on the chrome trim piece on the trunk is completely uneven.

Guess I'll be peeling it all back off and trying it again. Anyone else have any issues?
