FUJITA intake is out

Well it seems my google skills didnt pick this one up. But i called fujuita today and asked how long for the availablity for the intake for the G since the Z is made. The guy actually told me that its already out for the g's and the z will be out in about 60 days.

I also seen on my 350z.com by the same company who dynoed the stillen (intense motorsports) that it gave a few HP better gains then the stillen and its cheaper. And it looks better lol.

Ordering mine today.

good luck, let us know how it sounds, performs when you get it.

viguera Jun 4, 2007 12:53 PM

Is this the actual intake though?

It would seem like the Stillen is better with the boxes... this one might negate the whole cool inlet air business and suck up a lot of warm air from the engine bay.

Thats the actual intake....I had a short ram on my coupe and then changed to a CAI. I also had a short ram on my 05 maxima. Theres zero difference in performance that i noticed on teh coupe. The only diff was the true CAI (which stillen is not) gave a slightly deeper sound due to the long tube.

What other mods do you have? An intake alone will not do much, and gains will be very minimal at best. The more mods you have, the bigger the difference between the two.

Fujita is straight though... they make plenty of performance parts for imports. They usually take a bit longer than Stillen or even Berk to come out with stuff, but their CAI for the Maxima was great.

This is right along the lines of the Stillen intake for the 07 sedans though... relatively the same price but straight up cones instead of boxes. Should be interesting to see if it sounds any better.

FYI,

I called them since they're in BK but they don't have the item in the store... they drop-ship from Fujita so expect a few days delay before you receive the item if you order it.

Too bad... If they had it there I would have probably stopped by and checked it out, seeing how they're not that far from my job.

haha that makes you the second person today who called and asked that question cuz i did the same thing.

But yea fujita is good, i remember being on the maxima forums ppl loved it. I even knew someone personally with it and it sounded worked and looked great.

The whole idea of not having airboxes doesnt really make a diff anyway. The only way you will experience heatsoak is if you leave the car running in park for a long period of time, otherwise the air is constantly moving anyway.

As far as that my car is bone stock, and i know intakes alone do barely anything, if anything - and i also know that they work hand in hand with other mods. I didnt really buy it for the performance, i just love the sounds that they produce and they look nice when you open ya hood lol. As for the small gains you get on high end, ill take that too lol.

BTW the place that you called in brookly viguera, if its the same place i called, there is a discount when you click buy now on there website...which is the one that i posted. Its like 21 bucks off or so.

Yeah, but it sucks that they drop-ship. I've had a lot of problems with companies that do this, because there's yet another party to get involved in the whole thing...

You'd place your order and they forward it over to Fujita (supposedly, could still be someone else in the middle), and they ship it to you. When I got my y-pipe a while back on my Maxima I had these same issues, because things were coming from other vendors. And the guy you pay doesn't know anything about what the other guy is doing -- if he has the part in stock or how many, etc.

If these guys had the part in stock I would drive over and pick it up today. They don't, so I'm just gonna wait for you to let me know how they are... :)

it really looks ghetto... but the numbers will tell.

SPEEED Jun 4, 2007 07:12 PM

Good luck to anyone expecting to get some performance gains out of an intake...

Sound difference at best (which is worth it in my opinion - based on the JWT pop charger).

Hikos_G Jun 4, 2007 08:15 PM

$360 for just a 'few hp' gain??:icon43:

Not much bang for the $. Looking forward to seeing how they look, though! :)
