Any way to verify ICC replacement & ECU Reflash?

I'm looking for ANYTHING that may verify the repair. The throttle response has irritated me from day 1 and I've complained many times on this board and was very happy to see that Infiniti has a fix in place (even if under an ICC fix heading).

I was delayed a little since the dealership is quite a distance to drive. Anyway, I finally had it done, But....

I don't notice any difference. The work order says they replaced the ICC senser and did the flash upgrade on the ECU. But I don't know if I was expecting too much or what the deal is. The loaner I had was GREAT but had a build date of 9/06?? What gives? And they say mine was the first car they did the ISB on.

The wife is very hesitant on driving in this car and only recently we took a road trip to the North and took her car because she refuses to ride in this car. I try my hardest to go take off easy but if I'm not 100% concentrating on the takeoff, this thing lurches for 0-10 in about .5 seconds.

The dealership has always treated me excellent, and I very much doubt there's any foul play but I just need some kind of concrete evidence (other than a piece of paper) that this ISB was performed.

Autozone diagnostic hardware to read firmware??
CANbus analyzer w/specific commands to read ECU firmware??
Hold speed increase on cruise longer than 2 seconds and it starts stepping by five?? (It does this now but I don't know if it did it before)

ANYTHING in the new flash/ICC that wasn't noticed before.

15,000 miles of trying to adjust for it hasn't worked : - )

(Actually, Snow mode is perfect... But probably not a good idea to leave that on 100% of the time)

I don't know if there is any proof other than the record they give you.

Does your car surge going downhill? That is technically what the TSB covers, I think the touchy throttle is just a side affect of that ECU fix. I would test it downhill, and if it surges its still not correct.

Now having said that...I had it done and I'm one of the few that has not felt a difference. My car doens't surge downhill(although I don't think ever did), but my throttle was never so touchy that people didn't want to ride with me. Mine is much more "resosponsive" than anything else, but the reflash didn't change anything.

The sensor is easy, you can tell just by looking at it. it doesn't fit correctly, it's a smaller unit and it's slightly offset.

Thanks for the responses! The fact that someone else hasn't noticed a difference makes me feel a little better. Like I said, maybe I was expecting too much.

The car did surge going down hill, I've felt it several times but it's usually on trips that I notice it, nothing around town.

I think we'll be taking a little trip this weekend, I'll keep my antenna up for the surging, I'm sure I'll notice it if it's improved as it was pretty bad before.

I'll have to check the physical sensor and see if I notice the change, I didn't think about that.
