350Z and G35 engine question

I believe 350Z and G35 sedan use the same engine, VQ35HR. 350Z redlines at 7500rpm and G35 at 7600rpm, 100 rpm difference?

Anyone notice that peak Torque is 400 rpm higher on the G35 than the 350z? At least, they are according to factory specs unless I'm mistaken.

Both are VQ35HRs....

that could easly be a fuel map/ecu difference. Or the leanth of the exhaust system.

Exhaust system difference maybe the reason for the torque discrepancy.

i haven't searched my350z yet, but there's quite a few gearheads over there... but as far as i know, the engine itself is the same, same block, head, valvetrain, pistons, rods, crank, etc etc...
