That's the only thing holding me back... I need to know how it sounds on the inside while driving through town as well as on the highway.

Thanks!
It's really quite on the inside, until you open it up. I LOVE it, its exactly what I wanted. You know its there but no drone or being annoying. So if just drive non-aggresive, still listen to music and talk on the phone and not distracting. But when start giving is gas it opens up! SOOO NICE....will post my experience in the next day or so

So, is it safe to say that I'd have a quieter ride with no drone if I go the FI with HCFs route, instead of the Stillen Cat Back? (Under normal driving conditions)

I haven't heard the Stillen so I can't compare, I think it is pretty quiet for having HFC and it being an aftermarket exhaust. I do have a 6MT which I was told for some reason will make is not as loud as well, probably because I will have lower cruising RPM on freeway.

I can't speak for the Stillen catback on a Sedan. I have the FI exhaust, NO HFC, and it is exactly as I expected. No drone, more noticeable inside at RPM's below 2K. At cruising speed it is very muffled, when you step on it, you know it's there. I had a stillen catback exhaust on an 03 6MT coupe, I like the FI exhaust more.

I agree. If it interrupts my enjoyment of music, then it is a deal breaker. I don't want to have to up the volume rediculously loud to compensate either!

Exhaust systems....I otta know!

As of yesterday I'm on the 4th exhaust system, like most of you I started with the OEM unit. A friend hooked me up with a Stillen cat-back that was a
test system for Magnaflow. On the day I bought it I went to two different
muffler shops and couldn't get it installed....long story short I never had it
installed but sold it. Then I made the mistake of buying a Borla cat back system, it wasn't nearly a good as the Stillen unit. (quality wise) My
friend at Magnaflow gave me one of his Y-Pipe back systems and I ran that
for 2 years. Not being totally satisfied with the sound, yesterday I installed a
brand new HKS cat-back system. Now I have the GrrrowwL that goes along
with the way my G is modified, just gotta be more careful around town. So I
guess I'm the third HKS Pilot.... Sorry Chris!

Custom Magnaflow. Sounds great, similar to the stillen but a tad bit deeper, IMO. You can hear a Drive-Off sound clip in my sig and if you go to my vids on that link, you can hear a 'rev in park' vid as well.
