Ok...Ihave 7500 miles on my 08 G35S. Recently I've had two occurences that might be issues. Your thoughts?

1. Slight ticking sound when idling...sounds like it might be valve lifter. a very light "ticking" sound. Never heard it before. Is it normal?

2. When I start it up, about every 5th or so start it seems to have a slow, kind of dreary start. Could it be the battery or starter?

Otherwise my only complaint is the creaky sunroof, which i'm having looked at next week.

On the first, check your oil. If your oil is getting low you'll hear valve lash noise much more. Also if you switch to synthetic you might notice a bit more noise.

No clue on the second.

 

my 08 sport has the sunroof squeek as well as the anemic starts sometimes....

dealer said it cant fix the sunroof and they havent noticed the anemic start.


I am really upset about the quality of service provided to me so far!!!
