COBB TUNING or TECHNOSQUARE?

I am done with all of my bolt on mods. i have a Stillen exhaust, Black Betty wires. Stillen Gen 3 intake, and now I want a ecu. Which one do you guys think is better? Does anyone out there have the Cobb? How is it? I had a Technosquare on my 03 coupe before.

Good question.

And do any of these allow you to switch back and forth from one mapping to another, or are you permanently set to the new sport tuning?

^with cobb u can change with techno you have only one map set. u have to send in your ecu for remappin for techno, for cobb you get a unit with which you can map the car yourself with preset options or create your own or have a professional do it for u....

Sounds to me that Cobb would be a better option, considering the flexibility of the system.

I've been waiting on Cobb to release one for the 07-08 Sedans, last thing I heard they said they should be done by early Jan but I e-mailed them and still waiting for a reply.

This is what they said on 21/11/08

"We are very close to releasing the AccessPORT for the 07-08 G35. We are gathering test vehicles and performing dyno tuning at sea level and at high elevation to develop our mapping for the car. I don't have an exact release date, but I would guess late next month or possibly very early next year, possibly sooner. Keep an eye on our website for when the AccessPORT is available. Let me know if you have any other questions."

Osiris probably costs more, but here is a link showing what Osiris is capable of on a twin turbo car:

Look into UpRev Osiris also. Cobb AccessPort and Osiris are very similar. Multiple maps, etc.

With Cobb you have to have a handheld (AccessPort) to swith maps and with Osiris its all built into the ECU and you switch maps within your steering wheels controls, incredibly streamlined and simple to use.

Having a good experience with the AccessPort on my WRX, I would tend to go with Cobb again. It would be interesting to run catless with no check engine lights (which AccessPort allows you to do). The only thing is I doubt if Cobb has enough testers to be able to have different maps for all the bolt-on configurations out there for our G. You would almost need to go to a tuner and have them do a custom map that you load into your accessport.

Yep, I'd go UpRev out of those three. Cobb is never going to be ready (it's been what, two years...?), and Technosquare means your ECU is flashed permanently (or presumably, until you send it back to them).

Osiris gives you multiple maps, and the ability to change tunes. On a stock G doesn't appear worth it; could be cool for the OP.

I'm also waiting for the Osiris. I've already paid full for the reflash+tunning at Church Automotive.

So am I right in thinking that with UpRev Osiris you need a laptop to connect it up to the car right? similar to Vagcom for German cars?

and does UpRev Osiris give you the option to check engine error codes and delete them from the ECU?
