I know there are quite a few threads on this but I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I am looking for an exhaust clip of a magnaflow x muffler (like FI puts on their systems) with the stock exhaust. I would like to do this first before replacing the mufflers because it seems like this is where most of the power will be made replacing that restrictive Y Pipe. I plan on replacing the mufflers later on down the road if I want it any louder. What do you think a shop would charge to replace the Y pipe and resonators with the Magnaflow X?

 

I haven't seen anyone do this on your newer HR platform. Try the Z site. But you might have to do this on your own and make an educated guess. It's what I did when I put mine on my Borla dual for my 03 sedan.

 

I added the X pipe last so i can't help you here but it cost me 230 bucks or so to get my resonators + Y pipe cut out and the X pipe put in, the price included the X pipe too.

 

thats not too bad, so it was about 130 for the install. i am looking at putting that magnaflow in there to get a bit more sound but retain the stock apperance so hopefully the GF doesnt notice lol

Its under the hood along with the Black betty wires LOL. no reason for her to ever look under there haha.

I have to drive 3 hours down to Orange County Choppers in NY this weekend for a big Infiniti/Nissan meet, and I'm bring the wife with me.
I have to try and keep the car under 4K rpms, so that the Injens don't start screaming. Once they open up and the ECU catches wind of it, the car growls like crazy.

She wasn't happy when the FI exhaust went on. She hears the car getting any louder, and it'll be three hours of her complaining in my ear about how I took a luxury sedan and turned it into a "punk's car"

she may not be the wife but she still gets pissed off like one when i spend money on my car instead of her lol

 

bitches....they just dont understand. They assume that because it was designed from the factory a certain way, means that its the best it can be.


My wife complained when I put my wheels on....using my money (we have joint and separate accounts)

SHe complained when I installed a single sub....using my money

She complained when I installed the exhaust deletes....using my money.


She loves driving it now.....and will admit that those additions make her feel sporty and faster than all the other cars. I guess they just cant see it right away.....
