Ultimate Mods Lists

Ok everyone need your opinion and help... I am trying to put together the ultimate G35 that will pull say 400 bhp. I know it might be a stretch however it's worth a try. Let me preface this that I think it should be done for a moderate amount of money... in other words not 10's of thousands US$. The car currantly has a magnaflow x-pipe/resonator mod and I am running the premium tune with 2 degree adjustment from BD.

with every bolt on available for the G35 and a custom tune you are looking at most +50whp over stock.
400 bhp would mean you'd have to have over about 330whp. estimating for a 18% loss due to drive-train which is just not possible without forced induction or NOS applications.

if you're looking for every little hp/tq then sell your BD and get a custom Osiris tune. Here's a list of mods you can do>

CAI (Injen/Stillen)
HFCs
Cams (coming soon/more involved install)
Proper Tune.

G37's are getting 320+whp from CAI, Full Exhaust and a simple A/F ratio adjustment. with proper tuning 330-340whp is possible. Thing is, none has yet cracked the ECU and came out with a system to fully utilize all the tuning parameters and tune them accordingly. That most we've seen are A/F ratio setting, ignition timing and maybe that's it.

RobbyG35 was putting down 310whp stock with Technosquare custom dyno tune and then installed headers, cats, exhaust and intakes. SO if he re-tunes i am pretty sure he will get to the 320+whp easy which means others can go the same route as well.

+1 I don't see it being possible without going FI. As we all know that will really add up the $$.

you guys need to visit the G37/370z forums more. The Z is making more power out of bolt ons than the G37 coupe due to a more aggressively tuned stock ECU. The 37 coupe is making more power than us which a lot seems to think is due to the same reason. The engine is pretty limited from factory in terms of tuning. Give it sometime and you're gonna start seeing some nice numbers out of NA VQ's. Certainly more than the DE ever made. Robby broke 300whp from nothing more than a tune. And I believe he was on stock intake and header too.

I thought he managed to break 300 with the upgraded headers, and to the OP the only way you'll manage 400hp is by going forced induction

That may be true, but the OP has a 35, not a 37.

There is no way he's ever going to make 400BHP N/A. Period. Not with the present available A/M parts.

his sig currently says 310whp. When he posted about the TS tune it was 301whp and that was with stock intake/headers i believe.

A G37 on MyG37 dynoed 325whp (full intake/exhaust + AFR adjustment). 325whp is over 373bhp assuming a 15% drivetrain loss and mind you that was on a Dyno Dynamics. There's a lot more that broke 300whp.

you cannot compare a G37 with higher displacement to a G35.

the difference in whp due to displacement is very minimal.
Here are a few videos of 07-08 HR Z's. Same engine as ours, similar mods, similar whp. There's a much bigger difference between then DE and HR than between the HR and VHR. The older DE's would only dream of breaking 300whp and yet with minimal bolt on mods (Intake/Exhaust/Tune) the HR's and VHR's are making well over 300whp EASY.
There's a lot more of these videos on YT.

You cannot have the Ultimate Mod List with moderate budget. Sorry buddiee.

If you want Ultimate Mod List, you have to be willing to spend Ultimate Monies.
