08 G35 V36 (250Gt Japanese Version)

Hi everyone, Can anyone have any answer or suggestion about my car's small problem....? I have a 2008 Nissan Skyline 250GT that is Japanese version, V6 VQ25HR, only 8800 km now, every morning when I start the engine, but it will hard to start and like to be the engine is on but almost stop, what i need to do is shut it off and start again, and then it will normal...... my friends have same problem as well, last week my friend do the oil change and clean the throttle body, and changed spark plugs too, after that, after start engine, the rpm always between 1300---2000rpm and is change up and down at P. When put it in D, it still above 1000rpm, in N it will same as P. Anyone heard that problem? Actually, not only my friend, 2 more skyline have same problem after the throttle clean.... Please anyone can help me?

Your car is saying you should get into grammar school LOL

J/K sorry I can't help other than to say why worry. Take it to the dealer since it is under warranty and with your kms it shouldn't be considered a maintenance issue. Too many folks on here want to diagnose and fix every problem themselves when it's the manufacturers responsibility.

Cleaning the throttle bodies should solve the hard to start problem. As for the resulting RPM issue, I think u might need the idle air relearn procedure.
Edit: oops...wait.. U only have 8800km? Shouldn't be the throttle bodies then. Isn't there a tsb for the cold start issue?

+1 - he has a Japan-spec car, so English probably isn't his first language.

OP, is your car still under warranty? Hard to start can be caused by a lot of things...

Snizen, it looks like you need to do the Idle Air Relearn Procedure as CalsonicVQ said. It will basically reset the idle position for the throttle bodies. The dealer should be able to do this for you by hooking up their computer on the OBDII port.

EVERYONE READ: DO NOT CLEAN YOUR THROTTLE BODIES YOURSELF, OR YOUR CAR WILL IDLE LIKE CRAP.

What's funny is, he did it after the people he knows already jacked their cars up. At 8800km, anything wrong is something I will take to the dealer. You shouldn't have to trouble-guess (oops, troubleshoot) a NEW car.

^ If you clean your throttle bodies in the correct manner as listed in the DIY section (by not removing the harness connectors) you will be fine and come out with a smoother idle.

And if you somehow mess up and remove the harness then just follow the steps to help the TB relearn its positions. Its worth it.
