Review: Invidia High Flow Cats
#31
$475 shipped from Amplified.
So far I have over 1,200miles on these and no CEL. The sound level has definitely become much quieter (it was pretty loud at first). Drone is exactly the same as before. There is no rasp at all now. The usual HFC/test pipe "hiss" is of course there. Power is definitely noticeable more than the intake or cat back. It just pulls harder at higher RPMs and even more so when you shift. I love it

So I'm reporting here after driving 3,000miles. first of all, no CEL at all. 2nd of all, there is no rasp whatsoever, just a straight up mean sounding exhaust! In terms of loudness under normal driving, my setup is now a hair louder than with just my Stillen CBE. It has become MUCH quieter over the last 3,000miles during normal low RPM driving but really opens up when you go WOT.
I'm going to get an in-car sound clip within a couple days (maybe even today If I can)
Here's a sound clip from a dyno and a before/after comparison of the whp gains >>
Previous Dyno Run
Mods: Stillen CBE and Injen CAI, No TUNE
Numbers: 252.7whp
New Dyno Run
Mods: Stillen CBE, Injen CAI and Invidia HFC, No TUNE
Numbers: 259.7whp
So average 7whp gain from the HFC

great review so far bro! Im thinking of getting those right now. I already got the ARK GRIP exhaust and R2C intakes, so hopefully this will make the whole thing sound more deaper and mean.
Your car sounds mean as heck in the vid there! I wonder does the HFC makes it sound more like that or the exhaust?

No CELs, no issues at all.
Here's my latest video BTW. This is after tuning with Uprev Osiris
It sounds WAY deeper in real life. This was taken with an iPhone 3G cam so it's pretty crap quality. It'll sound a little better with headphones.

Q8y_drifter I just installed my Invidia HFCs. Installed them at work and just drove home. ...I got a question when you installed yours did yours make any sounds? when I give it some gas it give off a whistling sound. The harder you accelerate the louder the whisteling sound becomes. I tightened all my bolts pretty hard and used all the gaskets that came with it. So I hope it's not an exhaust leak you know.
Let me know bro. Maybe I just need to brake it in????

If it's hissing, thats just extra back pressure leaving the exhaust.
Check your screws and bolts, loosen and retighten them.
