Exhaust Wrap on Berk HFCs

I was thinking about wrapping my Berk HFCs with exhaust wrap. I have read that if I wrap a catalytic converter with exhaust wrap, the increase of heat may shorten the life of the cat and possibly cause problems/ or failure.

I would assume this applies to OEM cats, therefore was wondering what could happen if i were to wrap my HFCs? would i run into problems? will my HFCs cause problems and possibly fail?

I mainly want to wrap the HFCs for two reasons: first to decrease the amount of heat coming from underneath my car; and second possibly decreasing the infamous hissing sound from hfc deceleration.

any info or help would be appreciated. thanks.

well I've never done my HFCs but I have wrapped my cat-back exhaust all with heat wrap.

I'm not sure if it'll cause you problems on the HFCs but the only bad thing I've heard someone tell me is that if water gets into them then it could start eating away at the metal from inside. I don't know how accurate that is but for me so far so good, but it only rains once a year here anyway

I would suggest doing your Cat-back first, that reduces heat quite a bit,
