I have 2008 G35xS sedan, AUTO, and purchased UpREV OBD cable and Cipher software almost two years ago, fall 2008. After the purchase, UpREV advised me that it was not, yet, compatible with 2008 models. After about year and a half waiting, they finally told me that it should work now.

Questions is, what Tools should be available when I am connected via cable? The only tools that are not grayed out are the following:
1. Retrieve and clear trouble codes
2. Monitor and record the ECU parameters
- this, however, does not do anything once I click on it.
3. BCM functions

In the Cipher manual that I downloaded from UpREV website all Tools are lit up. I verified and I have the latest Cipher 1.03 version, same version that UpREV has had on their website for a while.

^+1 they can help you best with this issue since it seems its more of a compatibility and function offering issue from the manufacturer than they way you are trying to use it.
