Magnaflow

Hey guys i know this exhaust is not comon among the car guys, however I'm coming from a 06 Yukon Denali which got 11-12.5 MPG city before adding a MagnaFlow system, 13.6-14.6 after adding system, and was wondering if anyone here has ever had one on thier Sedan? I live on a Military base so 90% of my driving was short, stop and go traffic.

I just traded that Denali last weekend and drove it to MD to seal the deal, 17.3 MPG Highway, never going over 75MPH. drove the G35 back from MD the same, never going over 75 and got 26MPG

This is not my first G35, I've had an 04 for 4 1/2 yrs that I had HKS Muffler, then Gredddy Catback system, so I'm familiar with the systems that are normal to our sedans. I however have never seen an increase in MPG with either of the 2 systems I've had on my sedan, so as you can see I'm interested in trying a system that I know gave me an improvement in MPG though in a different application (Denali). Thoughts?

Can't speak from experience, but based on observations a good number of American cars react to aftermarket modifications much better than most imports do buck for buck.

^ That is true also for some strange reason. I checked the price for the MAGNA CATBACK and OMG WTF, it's like more expensie than the Fast Intentions. I sure didn't pay that much for my Denali application. $400+ and I was on my way with dual in dual out, LOL.

I will have to do some serios saving if i want this system.

Im not sure about the magnaflow exhaust ... I have a topspeed catback with magnaflow high flow cats and at first i thought it wouldint sound like what i would expect it too be but it sounded really good in my opinion i liked the magnaflow cats lol. But as far as fuel economy its just something i cant look at on this car

^ yeah adding an exhaust with nice sound and expecting good MPG just ain't going to happen since we will always keep our feet in the tank yearning to hear that beautiful sound.

For the record, I am not buying it for gas improement. They are all for sound anywayz, so if fuel increase is gained then that's just an added bonus. It's not high on my priority list however. Rims and any cosmetic changes will come before performance.
If I want to go fast I'll jump on my 1000CC sportbike, just sayin.
