Well after researching and reading tons of aftermarket intake threads, I still have yet to purchase one due to price/performance. Every time I find a "winner" I just cant justify it due to the price tag. So after mulling it over with a friend who is a great fabricator, we have decided to create a new style. The ideas we have drawn up are somewhat of a hybrid between the Stillen Gen2 and popcharger. I like the idea of the top cover on the Gen2 but really like the design of the popcharger shroud/surround. What we are thinking is creating something that aims the filters slightly off from where the normal intakes make them sit. By using a wider and stubbier air filter, we can position them where we want. Things are moving along slowly and still in the planning stages, due to the fact that we need to get a basis and I cannot be without my car (we are using the stock airboxes for measurements, and flanging) I will try to update this if we can get some build time in this weekend, hoping I dont have to use my car to go anywhere LOL.

Planning on having a top to it vs relying on the hood/weather stripping to seal it off. Also, trying to push the filters towards the fender a little more...
