Car will not start, electrical seems to work ok

Hi All,

I'm having a weird issue with my G35S V36 Sedan 6MT.
Occasionally when I get in my car and hit the push button to start it, it will not start. It goes from Off-to Acc-to On, and I hear a click down by the fuse panel, but the motor does not turn over, like the starter is not engaging.

I can try to start it many times but it just will not start.

However, if I let it sit over night, and try it again in the morning, it will usually start fine.

I've tested the clutch switches and the brake switches and they seem to work fine.

It just dropped off warranty so I want an idea of what's wrong before I take it to a dealership here in Pittsburgh. Any suggestions?

Which reminds me, does anyone on here live in Pittsburgh and would be able to recommend a dealership to take it to?

Thanks,
-Kurt

If it were mine I'd be thinking about a bad starter solenoid or clutch interlock switch.

For future reference, I towed it to the dealership and it ended up being the starter cable.
