stillen gen3 CAI installation

Anyone installed the Stillen gen3 CAI without removing the bumper? I found a video on youtube that looks like it can be done. I want this intake but really do not want to remove the bumper.

Also - Anyone know where I can get a good deal on a new one or a used one for sale?

Ok well I've installed the Gen 3,

The only problem you'll face if you're trying to install them without removing the front bumper is when you come to make the holes bigger for the pipes to go through to the front grill.

It'll be pretty much impossible to do without removing the front bumper.

Removing the front bumper is one of the easiest things to do once you've done it once. Just a few pull-up screws and some bolts and everything just snaps off. If you do it once you'll realise how easy it is.

Once everything is installed then you'll never need to take off your front bumper again. Last week I took out my whole intake system with pipes and filters for cleaning and put everything back together without taking the front bumper off, just the front grill.

Hope this helps.

For me, removing the bumper is a pain. I thought it was a bear when I removed the top part to remove my headlights. You can easily install the Gen3 without removing the bumper. The only thing I see as a problem is that when inserting the pipe through the enlarged holes, you may scratch it up some because of the angle it must take. There is enough room to enlarge the holes. Use the flex extender attachment for the dremel or an oscillating tool.

^ if u want put yourself through that hassle then go ahead, but honestly for me it takes me under 5 min to take off my bumper and to put it back in.

Plus if you didn't remove all the bolts when you went about removing your headlights then it'll make it harder to take off. Honest to god this car has one of the easiest front bumper to install and take off.

Saves me hours of cursing and damaging other components of the car when I realise I don't have enough space. Good luck

Hmmm. Maybe that was it (not removing the entire bumper). I just followed a headlight removal and it mentioned just undoing the wheel well bolts and tilting the bumper down.

Yeah I think it would be harder to deal with the bumper that way.

If all bolts are removed it's pretty easy

seeing that video you could actually do it with the front grill removed if you have the same grinding tool.

I didn't I had a saw of some sorts
