Power gains 2007 G35 4dr?!?

Hey guys, new to G35 driver and was wondering what were some of the more affordable aftermarket bolt ons for a 2007 G35 4dr . I already have a K&N SRI, what are some other parts and brands that have shown to give the most HP gains. Also i have read some talk about certain aftermarket intakes actually taking power away from the engine how much of this is actually true?

Please be as specific as you can and if you use acronyms please spell out what they mean so i know for future posts and what not.

Sorry in advance if this has already been posted im not very good with forums and dont really know how to get around them very well.

There is already a sticky on one of the sub forums > sedan tech area >. Find all your bolt on questions there, and learn much more.

The most gain you will get for your car will be HFC

I've gone the bolt on route before and have seen many do the same. You can easily spend $3000 grand on some tasteful mods, and gain maybe only 20-30 wheel horsepower. Nissan/Infiniti has already squeezed much of the power there is to be had out of this model. IMHO, if you want a very noticeable and reliable increase in horsepower, get a supercharger kit..I'm partial to the GTM one This is just an opinion, and like A holes everyone has one. Right now I'm putting down 450 to the wheels in an automatic (550 to the motor).

Your not going to reach 450 w/ just the SC alone. The bolt ons will help you get closer to that number.

If not going FI here is your best bet for power:

HFCs or ART pipes. (High flow cats/Advanced Resonated Tuning pipes from Motordyne)
Exhaust system proven to make gains
Osiris tune from UpRev

That's about all that's available for the HR motor in bolt-ons.

With the HR motor, test pipes, and enough boost 450whp can easily be attained. I know because I did this with a smaller pulley. I backed of my boost because I didn't want to run 14psi everyday, even though I know the HR can handle it. Test pipes and an Uprev tune are the best bang for your buck on our cars. As I stated before, Nissan/Infiniti have squeezed most of the HP there is to be had out of the 3.5L.

Stillen SC kit rated at 9psi will get you to 430HP. I have Fast Intentions HFC and exhaust.

450hp should be easy. You have 306hp to start.
Cold air intake +15hp
Larger MAF +10hp
Test pitpes +15hp
Grounding kit +10hp
Headers +30hp
Exhast +20hp
Tune +40hp

If you add it all up, that is 140hp on top of your 306hp. You should be sitting right around 446hp, right where you wanted.

Really your getting 260hp to the wheels. I hear headers would add a lot but I am not going for super loud unless your going for that.

Don't forget, you only get the full HP rating if you put all the stickers on

True that and don't forget that by removing the engine cover that holds all that heat you'll pick up at least another 15HP. Heat soak's a b!tch.

F*cking head soak. I was at the track running consistent 10 sec passes, then one of the bolts holding on my JWT pop charger heat shields came loose. The heat shield fell off and BAM instant heat soak. Next pass I lost to a smart car.
