I've searched but wasn't able to find exactly what I was looking for. I have a 2008 G35x and after some "spirited" driving my car was fine but then about 3 hours later I went to go somewhere and all the warning lights on the dash lit up and the car wouldn't shift up gears properly and when I pressed the gas it would take about 3 seconds before anything would happen. It would eventually shift gears but it's like the car was in DS mode x 10.

So I went home and then the next day everything was fine but the "service engine" light stayed on. I know I'm going to have to take it in but was just curious if anyone else has had the same type of issue?

 

Have you checked the fluid level ?

Not sure of mileage on fluid but check color of trans fluid, if not a bright red than drain fluid and if ambitious remove pan and check the filter/strainer or just refill with new fluid.

 

I tried to quickly check the fluid tonight and apparently it's not as easy as I thought so I'll have to try again when I have a bit more time
