Intelligent Cruise Control - reprogram?

Hi Everyone,

I use the Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) feature on my g35x all the time. Due to my job, I spend a lot of time on the highways.

I know that the Mercedes Benz version of ICC will bring the vehicle to a complete stop,.. vs. the Infiniti system that will disengage when the vehicle's speed drops below 25mph.

I love the ICC feature, and it really has helped me on those long road trips.... BUT... is there any way to program the ICC to bring the vehicle to a full stop like the Benz version???

I get caught in traffic jams quite a bit. Speed goes from 0 to 10mph to 0 to 5mph, i.e. the ICC is useless in these situations. This is the primary reason for bringing up this topic.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

I think it is a very sensible safety feature ....
I would rather have the driver work the controls when in a traffic jam where speeds are <10mph !

Personally, I wouldn't be comfortable having a system stop and start on its own !!

It's interesting to see what you find on older posts and see how technology has advanced.
Now cars do have the feature to cruise at low speeds as well come to complete stops, and not only when using cruise control... but all the time.

So how is that for tech advancement from 2007 to 2014ish
